Radio and Print Adverts

Codes and conventions of radio trailers

Trailers are produced in such a way that they can be used on T.V and radio.

  • Extracts from the programme

  • Voiceover outlining the narrative of the programme - not always

  • Voiceover asks retorical questions that the programme will answer

  • The last thing you hear is the channel name which reienforces it

  • Scheduling

  • 30-40 seconds

Codes and Conventions of Print adverts

  • One strong large image

  • Words kept to a minimum

  • Slogan

  • Chennel logo

  • Styled like existing adverts by that channel

  • Scheduling

The trailer and the print advert are part of an overall campaign so there needs to be a consistant theme and messages and slogans across both products

This is the sketch for our print advert. It is going to be two blind folded people facing eachotherwith the slogan 'face to face' this has connotations of how communication has changed which is what the documentary surrounds based on our running order.
