Editing

I played an active role in the editing of our documentary, I captured alot of our footage and edited an interview whilst the other 2 members in my group edited an interview each too. We did experience some problems whilst editing as we failed to edit the interviews correctly without including pauses which made the interview jump therefore we had to edit the interview again. We had some very time consuming parts thorughout our editing as we had to focus on our opening titles as our titles had to look as if they where typing across a screen with music aswell as the typing sound effect in the background therefore this took alot of time and was done incorrectly once or twice for example, we would have two letters coming up at the same time therefore we had to do it again from where we made the mistake. Also we had to make sure our opening titles fitted in with the music so that it would say 'virtual insanity' whilst our typing was on the screen. As apart of our editing we needed to edit out questions from the interviews we conducted so that you can not hear the question being asked. Also during interviews we used cut aways where needed and used images that where appropriate for what the person who is being interviewd was saying. Also in editing we needed to include text in our interviews so our target audience would know who the person was that was being intervied for example we interviewed Jon Dutton who is an internet radio presenter so we included this on top of the interview as text to introduce further who it is that is being interviewed.
